Part of a concept document created as part of my role as Design Team Leader, the main aim of this refresh was to clarify the Students’ Union’s messaging.
This involved stripping information back to the essentials, placing the emphasis on the call-to-action and integrating clear iconography. Use of a grid system, clear space and a limited colour palette creates a distinctive, recognisable style, adaptable between digital and print.
A preference for shape, structure and contrast also allows continuity in black and white print scenarios, and this flexibility ensures the templates’ ability to endure. The contrast between the cleanliness and regularity of the typeface and structure, and the bold, uneven shapes is designed to yield eye-catching, bespoke assets.
